Wedding Photography

Here are some tips and advice in choosing your wedding photographer:

Ask your wedding coordinator about a photographer that will suite your personality and style – Its not only about stunning pictures but about good memories too.

Establish a rapport with your photographer – remember you will be spending an entire day in the company of this person on what will probably be one of your most stressful days of your life. See examples of the photographer’s work beforehand and meet with them personally.

Trust your photographer – they have photographed countless weddings and already know instinctively which shot or pose will or won’t work. Some of their suggestions or requests might not make sense on the day, but you will appreciate their creativity when you see the photographs.

There are different styles of wedding photography – give your photographer a proper brief about what type of photographs you are looking for. The more detail a photographer has to work with, the closer the end result will be to what you envisaged.

Scrutinise the photographer’s portfolio – is it the best shots of all their weddings combined or do they have shots of a single wedding to show you what you can typically expect. Look to see if there is detail in the bride’s dress. Don’t be afraid to ask questions.
